Pathogenesis:
Possible etiologies for small-vessel vasculitis in the lungs include ANCA disease (Wegener’s granulomatosis, microscopic polyangiitis), collagen vascular disease (lupus, others), and anti-GBM disease.
Autopsy: heavy lungs and cardiac hypertrophy
