Immunohistochemistry:
-
- CD15 – This neoplasm is typically CD15 negative.
-
- CD20 – The malignant cells have a mature B cell phenotype.
-
- CD23 – Mediastinal large B cell lymphoma is often positive for CD23, as well as Mum-1.
-
- CD3 – Scattered small, reactive T cells are present.
-
- CD30 – Expression of CD30 is characteristic of primary mediastinal large B cell lymphoma.
