Immunohistochemistry:

- CD123 – Highlights clusters of plasmacytoid dendritic cells

- CD20 – Most B cells are present in follicles
-
- CD3 – Highlights scattered paracortical small T cells
-
- CD8 – Many of the paracortical T cells are CD8+ cytotoxic cells, favoring a reactive proliferation

Clinical history:
44 y/o male with a history of nodular lymphocyte-predominent Hodgkin lymphoma and new lymphadenopathy.
Immunohistochemistry:
-
- Bcl-2 – There is expression of this antiapoptotic protein in the colonizing benign B cells, but there is no coexpression of Bcl-2 and Bcl-6
-
- Bcl-6 – A few residual Bcl-6+ germinal center B cells are present, but the majority of the infiltrating cells are negative, excluding follicular lymphoma
-
- CD20 – The expanded follicle contains an infiltrating population of small CD20+ B cells

- CD21 – There is expansion of the follicular dendritic cell meshwork
